Honoured – Grand Marshall Limerick Pride Parade – 2022

The theme for Limerick Pride 2022 was “Pride is Culture” and Sharon Slater, as a well known cultural practitioner, was asked to lead the parade through the city.

Winner – National Heritage Week County Award – 2021

This award was for the Women of Limerick app project, by Sharon Slater for Ormston House. The award was given by the National Heritage Council of Ireland.

Honoured – Limerick Mayoral Reception – 2018

Sharon Slater received the second-highest honour given by the Limerick Council for her work in promoting the history and heritage of Limerick City.

Winner Bronze Medal – Blog Awards Ireland – 2018

Sharon Slater’s website Limerick’s Life won the bronze medal in the Arts & Culture section of the Blog Awards Ireland.

Honoured – National Heritage Hero Award – 2017

Sharon Slater was honoured with the National Heritage Hero Award by the National Heritage Council of Ireland for her work in the promotion of history and heritage.

Sharon Slater was honoured with the Limerick Person of the Month Award for aiding social engagement in local history. – She was nominated for Limerick Person of the Year in 2015.
