Sharon Slater

Sharon Slater is experienced in researching, writing and editing articles, biographies, historical reports and books. She is an award winning historian, receiving the National Heritage Hero award for 2017.

Currently Sharon is a Historian in Residence at Ormston House.

She has delivered heritage/cultural projects for groups including Limerick Chamber, Limerick Archives and Mary Immaculate College, The History Press, Fáilte Ireland. As well as smaller community groups and events for the Elemental Arts and Culture Festival, the TomCat Festival and OpenHouse Limerick.

She is well versed in event organisation with an understanding of logistics, marketing, social media, event technology, time and people management. Well versed in public speaking and guiding tours. She has strong technical command of online database, website and social media maintenance. She has four years of office experience and seven years of retail experience.
